Holcombe, a Medical Exercise Specialist and Program Director through the Medical Exercise Training Institute, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science with a concentration in Health Promotion and Education through Clemson University’s College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences.
At Clemson, Brent involved himself in relevant coursework such as exercise physiology, community health promotion, health appraisal skills, and applied behavior change strategies. In addition, Brent has attained distinction as a Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as being a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine.
Since his graduation in 2005, Brent has spent tens of thousands of hours mastering his craft helping 100’s of clients ranging from young athletes to 80+ year olds with multi-system disorders.
The consummate professional, Brent’s quest for providing higher fitness industry standards earned him the ability to become a Platinum member and a Charter member of the Todd Durkin Mastermind (TDMM) and Medical Exercise Training Institute (METI) Mastermind, respectively.
Both the TDMM and METI Masterminds strive to provide fitness professionals world-class content and coaching in the areas of personal development, leadership, business, marketing, and “in-the-trenches” (exercise and nutrition).
Last but not least, Holcombe and his wife (Sara) are the parents of an awesome son named Dylan, who just happens to be on the autism spectrum.
Through many trials and tribulations, the Holcombe's were able to get Dylan accepted into the Els Center of Excellence in August 2017. The Els Center is a world-class charter school serving children and young adults ages 3-21 on the autism spectrum located in the Limestone Creek area of Jupiter.
The decision to move away from family, friends and clients wasn’t an easy one for Brent and his wife, but it was ultimately the best decision they could make in order to ensure Dylan’s success.
